Congrats to GII’s Class of 2018

Alhamdulillah, the Guyana Islamic Institute (GII) has successfully completed another academic year. The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2018  was held on October 7 at the Ahmad Ihwas Auditorium, Zeeburg, West Coast Demerara.

Among this year’s top performers are Br. Shameer Rahim-best graduating student of Year One, Br. Moosa Lewis- top student for Year Two while Br. Fadeel Bacchus secured the first position in the Tahfeez Program, thus far completing fourteen Ajzaa of the Glorious Qur’an.

The GII remains committed to provide advanced Islamic Education and Training for Imams, Teachers, Du’at and leaders of the Muslim Communities in Guyana, the Caribbean and South America in order to better serve their respective communities.

The Institute’s free scholarship programs include a one-year Certificate program in Islamic Studies and Arabic Language; a two-year Diploma Program in Islamic Studies, Arabic Language and Islamic/ Social Work ; and a Tahfeez (memorization of Al-Qur’an) Program. 

Currently, a new batch of twenty five students are enrolled at the Guyana Islamic Institute for the new academic year which commenced on September 3, 2018.
